Pokhara, June 14

The Pokhara Metropolitan City has unveiled a new resort in the serene location of Sedi, aiming to boost tourism in the area. Dorje Resort & Spa, a remarkable establishment that harmoniously combines Nepalese tradition with modern style, has been officially inaugurated with a substantial investment of approximately 1 billion Nepalese Rupees.

Mr. Dorje Tamang, the visionary owner of the resort, expressed his enthusiasm about introducing unique concepts to captivate tourists. Since its opening on June 6, the resort has been dedicated to attracting discerning travelers to Pokhara.

Sprawling across 31 ropani of land near the Annapurna cable car, the resort boasts 13 well-appointed villas. Mr. Tamang emphasized the resort’s commitment to showcasing the culinary delights of Nepal by incorporating locally sourced ingredients into their delectable menu. Currently, the resort offers 23 rooms, including 19 deluxe rooms and 4 suites. Construction work is underway to add an additional 31 rooms.

Guests at Dorje Resort & Spa can indulge in a range of amenities, including a fully-equipped gymnasium, spacious halls, a rejuvenating swimming pool, a luxurious spa, a tranquil jacuzzi, and an on-site farm. Each room provides a breathtaking view of the picturesque Phewa Lake, and guests also have the opportunity to experience and learn about agricultural and tourism activities at the resort’s farm.

Mr. Tamang expressed his aspiration to cater to couples seeking an idyllic honeymoon destination in Nepal. He highlighted that the resort was designed to provide an upscale experience, bringing luxurious package options to the country. Room rates start at 25,000 Nepalese Rupees per day, ranging from $250 to $700 for international visitors.

Notably, the rooms at Dorje Resort & Spa are more spacious compared to other hotels and resorts in Nepal, adorned with exquisite traditional stone carvings. Drawing from his extensive experience in the tourism sector, Mr. Tamang aimed to create a distinct and unforgettable atmosphere for guests. He also mentioned ongoing expansion plans for the resort, with additional rooms currently under construction.

The introduction of Dorje Resort & Spa adds a touch of grandeur to Pokhara’s hospitality industry, offering a blend of cultural heritage and contemporary elegance. With its impressive facilities and commitment to providing an exceptional guest experience, the resort is poised to become a premier destination for luxury travelers seeking tranquility amidst Nepal’s natural beauty.
