The newly appointed ministers took oath of office and secrecy on Wednesday, accompanied by President Ramchandra Paudel in a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Shital Niwas.

As per the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the Council of Ministers comprises 18 members, with 8 members from the CPN UML, 5 from the CPN (Maoist Center), and 4 from the National Independent Party. Here’s the breakdown of ministers from each party:

CPN UML:

  1. Raghuveer Mahaseth – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Physical Infrastructure
  2. Rajendra Kumar Rai – Water Minister
  3. Padam Giri – Minister of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs
  4. Balaram Adhikari – Minister of Land Management and Cooperatives
  5. Bhagwati Chaudhary – Minister for Women, Children, and Senior Citizens
  6. Damodar Bhandari – Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies
  7. Hari Upreti – Defense Minister
  8. Jwalakumari Sah – Minister of Agriculture

CPN (Maoist Center):

  1. Narayankaji Shrestha – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister
  2. Varshaman Pun – Finance Minister
  3. Shakti Bahadur Basnet – Minister of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation
  4. Rekha Sharma – Minister of Communications and Information Technology
