Paras Khadka has emerged as the newly elected Secretary of the Nepal Cricket Association. In a voting session conducted on Saturday, Khadka, a former cricket player, secured victory by defeating the outgoing Acting Secretary, Prashant Bikram Malla.

Among the 85 eligible voters, Paras garnered 48 votes, while Prashant received 37 votes. Notably, Paras Khadka also holds the position of President in the Bagmati Province Cricket Association. Other office bearers elected unopposed include Chatur Bahadur Chand as Vice President, Roshan Kumar Singh as Vice President, and Padma Bahadur Khadka as Treasurer.

Additionally, the election saw the unanimous selection of Jayantidevi Bhatt as the female member, Sridhar KC as the representative from Karnali, and Pradeep Mazgaia from Lumbini. Arjun Paudel secured victory in the Koshi region with 47 votes. In Madhesh Pradesh, Madhav Kumar Akharaya and Mohammad Daud Ansari’s votes were evenly tied at 42, with Madhav Kumar Akharaya eventually emerging as the winner through the Gola system.

Sudeep Sharma emerged victorious in Gandaki with 52 votes, while Diwakar Ghale won from Bagmati with 46 votes. Vikram Bista secured the Sudurpaschim region with 49 votes. Open members Dhirendra Saud (59 votes), Durgaraj Pathak (54 votes), Ayush Shrestha (51 votes), and Birendra Chand (34 votes) were also elected. Karan Mahatara Chhetri and Rishi Ram Gautam both received an equal number of 26 votes, with Karan prevailing through the Gola system.
