The era of Pokhara tourism during the 1980s and 1990s was notably prosperous, representing the golden years of the Nepali tourism industry.
Spanning three generations, beginning with my grandfather and continuing through my father to myself, my family has been involved in Pokhara’s tourism sector at Damside & Lakeside for more than 50 years now. However, with each passing year, the situation has progressively deteriorated, and it appears unlikely that my daughter and son will carry on the legacy of the tourism family tradition.
